About Us

Our School

A very warm welcome to Edenbridge Primary School.  We hope you will find lots of interesting information here to inform you about our school, the activities and the people within it.

At Edenbridge all members of our school community work together to create a safe and secure learning environment where every child is able to achieve the very best they can.We aim to work together to enable all of our children to ‘Be HAPPY‘.

We want our children to be happy and successful and we are committed to giving every individual child a chance to develop their talents, whatever they may be.  We are continually developing the curriculum to ensure that all of the children are able to achieve their full potential.  We have a full programme of educational trips and visitors to our school to provide a wide variety of experiences in and beyond the classroom.

We have very committed team of teachers who are supported by an invaluable team of support and administrative staff.  We also have very committed and involved governers who constantly support what we do, challenge us to do better  and help drive the school forward.  The school has a wonderful PTFA which organises regular fund raising and social activities for us. We work closely with the local community including the Edenbridge Holiday Activity Scheme (EHAS).

Edenbridge Primary School creates a positive and nurturing ethos. Our success is down to many factors but mostly it is down to our biggest asset – the children.  Why not visit us and see for yourself – you will be very welcome. Please see the map below to locate us.

We look forward to seeing you.

Behaviour and Safety

Behaviour Management is an intrinsic part of the school day. At Edenbridge Primary School we model a standard of considerate behaviour, which respects everyone in the school community. We expect all adults and children to display good manners in all their dealings with each other. We aim to help children develop a clear understanding of right and wrong and to appreciate the need for and importance of self-discipline. We recognise that some children will need alternative and additional approaches to aid their understanding of right and wrong.

This page will guide you to information about the current and historic performance of our school, with information about standards, the progress of pupils and the findings of the school’s most recent OFSTED inspection.

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support groups of children who have been identified nationally as being at risk of underachievement. The amount received is dependent on the number of children who qualify for this funding. Funding is given where children are registered for free school meals, are looked after by a local authority or the families of members of the armed services. To find out more about how our school is using this funding click on ‘Read more’.

P.E. and Sports Premium

At Edenbridge Primary School we aim to use this funding to provide high quality staff training on aspects of the PE curriculum, as well as to purchase resources and equipment to support the new curriculum plan. It is also used to employ external providers to allow more children to access sports based clubs after school and to support more children to access competitive sport through locally planned matches and tournaments. For more information please see our more detailed reports for this year and last year.

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office…
