Welcome to "Shapeland", Making owls as we read a favourite book "Owl Babies"

Welcome to shapeland! In 1G, we've had great fun using our knowledge of shapes to create a hole world of people, animals and buildings. There are triangular pine trees, with rectangles for trunks, and lorries driving by made from squares, rectangles and of course, circles! We have also enjoyed making owls to accompany our work on one of our favourite books,"Owl Babies" by Matain Waddell. There's spiky owl, made from dozens of tiny feathery triangles, and smooth owl who is created from ovals,[but he does have triangular beak!].we thought that ovid the oval looked the best.
