Sampling French treats, Tongue Twisters and Riddles
SPRING TERM IN 2D
It has been a fun filled and exciting Spring Term for 2D who have been looking into Barnaby Bear?s holiday to Brittany. We discovered how Barnaby travelled to Roscoff and looked at other types of transport we might use on our travels. For our final lesson we sampled some of the French treats that Barnaby had on holiday, such as pancakes, chocolate croissants and hot chocolate!
We have been speechless for most of our Literacy lessons this term with all the tongue twisting that has been going on! The whole class has had the opportunity to read some very silly poems and we have even written some of our own Tongue Twisters and Riddles that are now on display.
In Science, 2D have looked at how materials can be altered due to changes in temperature and how we can also change the shapes of materials by applying a force. Year 2 are looking forward to the first week of the Summer Term when we will have some very special visitors (a rabbit and dog) visiting. As part of our Science Topic on Growth and Health we will be given the chance to listen to their heart beats, compare their behaviour and learn how to take care of them
